Information We Collect

Information you choose to provide, such as your name, phone number, email address, feedback, support messages, or other details shared through forms, WhatsApp, or similar channels.

Basic usage and device information, such as pages visited, browser type, device type, approximate location, referral source, and interaction events used for analytics and service improvement.

Payment or subscription details may be processed by trusted third-party providers if a paid feature is introduced. We do not store complete card or banking details on our own servers.

ShivLok App Data and Service Providers

Login: if you sign in, we use your Indian mobile number for OTP verification through Firebase Authentication (Google). You can also continue as a guest without a phone number.

Account and practice data: your name, optional profile photo, jaap counts, streaks, Rudrank points, badges, referral details and notification token are stored in Google Firebase (Firestore and Cloud Storage).

Shiv Gyan questions: the questions you type or speak in Shiv Gyan are processed by our Cloud Functions and a third-party language-processing provider (OpenAI) to generate the answer. Conversations are automatically deleted after 30 days.

Microphone: used only when you tap voice input, to convert your speech to text. We do not record audio in the background.

Analytics and quality: we use Firebase Analytics, Firebase Crashlytics and Microsoft Clarity to understand app usage, fix crashes and improve the experience. Microsoft Clarity may capture anonymised interaction and session data.

Leaderboard: other signed-in users can see your name, avatar and jaap rank on the leaderboard unless you turn off 'show my name on leaderboard'.

How We Use Information

To provide devotional content, reminders, updates, app-related communications, community access, and customer support.

To improve content quality, measure performance, prevent misuse, troubleshoot errors, and keep the service secure.

To send important service messages and, where permitted, devotional updates, feature announcements, or promotional communications. You can opt out of non-essential communications where such controls are available.

Sharing of Information

We do not sell personal information. We may share limited information with service providers that help us run hosting, analytics, messaging, payment, security, and customer support systems.

We may disclose information if required by law, to protect users, to investigate abuse, or to enforce our terms.

Cookies and Analytics

We may use cookies, pixels, and analytics tools to understand visits, measure campaigns, and improve the website. On shivlokapp.com these are Google Analytics, Meta Pixel and, where enabled, Microsoft Clarity (which records anonymised clicks, scrolling and page interactions to show how the site is used). These tools may collect device and interaction data according to their own policies.

You can adjust browser settings to block or delete cookies, but some parts of the service may work less smoothly.

Data Retention and Security

We keep information only as long as needed for the purposes described in this policy, legal compliance, dispute resolution, and service protection.

We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards, but no online service can guarantee absolute security.

Children's Privacy

The service is intended for a general audience and is not directed at children below the age required by applicable law. If we learn that a child has provided personal information without proper consent, we will take reasonable steps to remove it.

You may request access, correction, deletion, or withdrawal of consent for your personal information, subject to applicable law and service requirements.

ShivLok ऐप का डेटा और सेवा प्रदाता

लॉगिन: यदि आप साइन इन करते हैं, तो आपके भारतीय मोबाइल नंबर का उपयोग Firebase Authentication (Google) के माध्यम से OTP सत्यापन के लिए होता है। आप फ़ोन नंबर के बिना guest के रूप में भी ऐप चला सकते हैं।

अकाउंट और साधना डेटा: आपका नाम, वैकल्पिक प्रोफ़ाइल फ़ोटो, जाप गणना, स्ट्रीक, रुद्रांक, बैज, referral विवरण और notification token Google Firebase (Firestore और Cloud Storage) में सुरक्षित रखे जाते हैं।

शिव ज्ञान के प्रश्न: शिव ज्ञान में लिखे या बोले गए आपके प्रश्न उत्तर तैयार करने के लिए हमारी Cloud Functions और एक third-party language-processing provider (OpenAI) द्वारा process किए जाते हैं। बातचीत 30 दिन बाद अपने-आप हट जाती है।

माइक्रोफ़ोन: केवल तब उपयोग होता है जब आप voice input पर टैप करते हैं, ताकि आपकी आवाज़ को text में बदला जा सके। हम background में audio record नहीं करते।
